I teach Hatha Flow & Restorative Yoga through the lens of Katonah Yoga®.

Katonah Yoga® is a syncretic Hatha Yoga practice that blends classical asana with Taoist philosophy, sacred geometry, and metaphor to cultivate stability, competency and longevity. Developed by Nevine Michaan, it understands the body as a dynamic, intelligent structure. One where joints, organs, glands, breath work together to support your overall well-being.

Drawing on the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine - earth, metal, water, wood and fire - this practice aligns your inner landscape with the rhythms of nature, fostering resilience and adaptability.

Central to the method is the idea of asana as origami: the body is folded and unfolded with precision to refine posture, enhance organ function, and optimise energetic flow. Through clear patterns, refined technique, and the power of repetition, Katonah Yoga® offers a practical yet imaginative framework for self-awareness and feeling more at home in yourself.

Expect a grounded, exploratory practice that leaves you more attuned to both your interior space and the world around you.

THE YOGA PRIVATE

Bespoke one-to-one sessions have a therapeutic focus. These sessions are informative, supportive, restorative, and transformative. My approach uses measured poses, hands-on adjustments, and a variety of props to help you gain insight into how you inhabit your body and learn to organise yourself for optimal function and flow.

Sessions take place in the Collective Cork studio or online.
